Consumer confidence has recovered in the past week, as people's attitude about their current and future financial conditions improves.
The ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence Index rose 0.4 per cent to 113.8 in the week to October 8, despite households' views on economic conditions edging lower.
Consumer confidence has been strengthening since August, with strong jobs growth clearly supporting household views about financial conditions, ANZ senior economist Felicity Emmett said.
