Copper miner Sandfire Resources says it has sweetened its bid for smaller peer MOD Resources, valuing the junior miner at $167 million.

Copper miner Sandfire Resources says it has sweetened its bid for smaller peer MOD Resources.

Sandfire is offering 45 cents per MOD share, which represents a 45 per cent premium to MOD's last closing price.

The offer values the junior miner at $167 million.
