Rising American surfing star Courtney Conlogue has won the Fiji Women's Pro at Cloudbreak, in Fiji.
Conlogue took out her sixth World Surf League title with the win over Hawaii's Tatiana Weston-Webb in a low-scoring final held in six-foot surf.
Conlogue in particular suffered some heavy wipeouts but was able to also get the best rides in, and her final two wave scores of 4.07 and 4.67 were enough for the win over Weston-Webb, who struggled in the conditions.
"It wasn't totally what I was looking for but I am stoked to surf these waves," Conlogue said.
"It's insane out there. I love this place."
Conlogue also praised the event performance of Weston-Webb, who was ranked 12th in the world heading into the event.
"She's been putting on such a great performance this whole event and did a really great job," she said.
The win moved Conlogue to fourth in the world rankings behind Australians Stephanie GIlmore, Sally Fitzgibbons and series leader and defending world champion Tyler Wright.
