Cowboys extend Spina's NRL contract

Second-rower Ben Spina has extended his contract with the North Queensland Cowboys, after getting game time in three rounds this season.

The North Queensland Cowboys have extended Ben Spina's contract until the end of 2017.

The 27-year-old second-rower and son of Cowboys foundation captain Laurie Spina made his NRL debut in round 17 last year and has come off the bench for three games this season.

"My family were keen for me to remain in North Queensland, so this is the perfect fit," he said.
