Cows run free after Qld truck rollover

Cattle are roaming Toowoomba after a truck rolled over at a sharp bend while driving through the town.

Cows are on the loose in the suburbs of Toowoomba after a cattle truck rolled over at a sharp bend on the Warrego Highway.

Around 25 cattle are believed to be roaming the town, with a number of others injured and killed in the accident, police said on Monday.

The truck driver was uninjured, but traffic is blocked in both directions where the Warrego Highway turns from James Street on to Cohoe Street.
