Cricket NSW has reportedly asked lawyers to investigate the possibility of seeking compensation over Trevor Bayliss' departure to coach the England team.
Bayliss accepted the England deal when one month into a two-year contract with the Blues.
The Telegraph in the UK reports Cricket NSW has engaged a Sydney law firm to explore the possibility of claiming compensation from the England and Wales Cricket Board.
Cricket NSW declined to comment on the matter on Thursday.
It's chief executive, Andrew Jones, expressed support for Bayliss at the time of his appointment as England's first-ever Australian head coach.
Bayliss is due to depart for England on June 24 ahead of the Ashes from July 8.
