Cricket - Sri Lanka analyst suspended for anti-corruption code breach

Jayasundara was charged under Article 2.1.3 with "offering a bribe or other reward to the sports minister to contrive in any way or otherwise influence improperly the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of an international match."

Alternatively, under Article 2.1.1, he faces charges of "contriving in any way or otherwise influencing improperly the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of an international match."

A second charge relates to obstructing or delaying an Anti-Corruption Unit investigation into possible corrupt conduct.

Jayasundara has 14 days to respond to the charges.

His provisional suspension comes a day after the ICC charged former Sri Lanka batsman Avishka Gunawardene with match-fixing.
