Queensland halfback Cooper Cronk has completed his first training session with the Maroons, strengthening his chances of playing in Wednesday's State of Origin finale.

Cronk hasn't played at state or club level since breaking his left arm in the Origin series opener in Brisbane on May 28.

The Melbourne Storm star appeared unhindered by his injured limb during Thursday's training run at the Maroons' camp on the Gold Coast, taking part in the full session alongside his teammates.

Sporting only light strapping over his left wrist, Cronk completed kicking, passing and game simulation drills, all without a sign of a grimace.

Maroons teammate Nate Myles said Cronk's powers of recovery, aided by hours of treatment with a "bone stimulator", were simply remarkable.

"Coops's ability to get fit again is phenomenal and just a clear indication of where that guy's at as a professional athlete," Myles said.

"I don't know how Coops has done it."

Cronk's next test will be the Maroons' opposed session on Friday afternoon against Queensland Cup team Tweed Heads Seagulls.
