There has been no shortage of fond memories for Cooper Cronk as he prepares for his landmark 356th NRL game.
And the off contract Sydney Roosters playmaker said he was ready to create some more before finally drawing the curtain on his career.
Not that he was giving away too much about his future on Saturday.
Cronk returned to the venue that started it all before his milestone NRL clash against Canberra on Sunday - Brisbane's Bishop Park.
He enjoyed a trip down memory lane on Saturday when the Roosters on for the round nine clash at Brisbane Norths' homeground, 16 years after the halfback launched his career at the then Melbourne Storm feeder club.
Almost 20 years after running around for the Queensland Cup club, Cronk is primed to leapfrog Brisbane great Darren Lockyer (355 games) and trail just ex-Storm teammate Cameron Smith (392g) on the all-time appearance list.
"To pass Darren's milestone in Queensland is fitting in a regard but I take 356 games like I did others," Cronk said.
"But there are fond memories coming back here (Bishop Park). This is where it all started.
"Hopefully there are few more good moments in my time."
Cronk, 35, may have been feeling nostalgic but he wasn't in the mood to reflect on his career just yet, saying he was still mulling over his playing future.
In the final season of his two-year Roosters deal, Cronk confirmed an announcement on whether he would play on was imminent.
Asked how many more games he hoped to add to his NRL tally, Cronk said: "Hopefully I get another 15, 20, 25.
"There have been a few thoughts in my head in recent times but I haven't really made the ultimate decision yet.
"It won't be dragged out for too much longer.
"I know which way I am leaning toward but I still need a bit of time to make the ultimate decision."
