New Zealand batting great Martin Crowe will be honoured with a place in the International Cricket Council's Hall of Fame.
Former captain Crowe will be inducted at a ceremony during the innings break of Saturday's World Cup group game between New Zealand and Australia at Eden Park.
The 52-year-old, who is terminally ill with a rare blood disease, will become the 79th inductee and the third New Zealand player after Sir Richard Hadlee and Debbie Hockley.
Crowe's 14-year international career ended in 1995 after he had scored 5444 runs from 77 Tests. He is regarded as one of the best and most elegant batsmen of his era.
His 143 one-day internationals included appearances at three World Cups. He led New Zealand to the semi-finals of the 1992 tournament in which his innovative captaincy and run-scoring was widely praised.
Crowe joins former India captain Anil Kumble and Australia's Betty Wilson, who were inducted into the Hall of Fame last week.
