Adelaide coach Phil Walsh is continuing to say little on the future of his star AFL midfielder Patrick Dangerfield.

While four Crows have re-signed in the past fortnight, Walsh refuses to buy into any talk about Dangerfield, who falls off contract at season's end.

"I'm not going to give you a running commentary," Walsh told reporters on Thursday.

"But for our fans, I think it's great that we have been able to sign some players. It gives us real affirmation of what we're doing here at the club."

Prime midfielders Rory Sloane and Richard Douglas and young defenders Rory Laird and Luke Brown have recently signed new contracts to remain in Adelaide.

But Dangerfield is being courted by rivals Geelong, located 50km from his family at Moggs Creeks.

The explosive midfielder is key to Adelaide's plans for their away trip to Brisbane, with Crows captain Taylor Walker in the selection frame.

Walker suffered a corked thigh and was substituted during Adelaide's loss last Thursday night to Hawthorn.

"We're confident that he'll play," Walsh said.

The seventh-placed Crows travel to meet the lacklustre Lions, winners just twice this season, but Walsh rates the trip a difficult proposition.

"You have heard me say that this is a 22-round boxing match. We're 11 rounds in and we're slightly ahead on points," Walsh said.

"These next rounds are really important."
