Adelaide captain Taylor Walker isn't beating himself up over his poor patch, believing the tide could turn against Geelong on Friday night.
Walker has been nursing a foot injury which has restricted his training, leaving him underdone for matches.
The Crows skipper dropped several marks in last weekend's loss to the Western Bulldogs but Walker takes heart from getting his hands on the ball.
"I don't beat myself up. I think it's important to review your individual performance, and I know that I was very close," he told Fox Footy's AFL 360 on Thursday night.
"When you can't consistently train, an area that goes away is your touch.
"And last week I got myself to a lot of contests but wasn't able to finish the play.
"It would be different ... if I wasn't able to get to the contests and get my hands on the footy."
The injury-restricted Walker expects another secondary role when he lead the Crows against Geelong at Adelaide Oval, with Adelaide's attack now headlined by Josh Jenkins and Eddie Betts.
"I have spoken to (coach Don Pyke) Pykey along the way, we have got a really clear picture as to what I need to do to play my role," Walker.
"He has been happy with what I have been able to do.
"I have done a lot of work on my touch the last month. So for me, it's not far away ... it's just around the corner."
