Ruckman Sam Jacobs insists Adelaide's confidence hasn't been dented by a shock 57-point AFL loss to the Western Bulldogs.
Jacobs and Crows on Monday are grappling with the fall-out of their heavy away defeat, which came after three consecutive victories.
"We probably didn't see a performance like that coming after the last few weeks," Jacobs told reporters on Monday.
"Consistency is something we want to build and we didn't deliver that yesterday. We didn't come to play."
The loss was the first under Phil Walsh but the new coach was measured in response, Jacobs said.
"He was pretty cool and calm, Walshy. He's big on trusting the system and as players, we have got full trust in the system," he said.
"Yesterday we didn't execute how we wanted to play."
Adelaide on Sunday meet arch rival Port Adelaide, who returned to form in an eight-point victory against reigning premiers Hawthorn.
Port's win featured the first look at their new ruck combination, Matthew Lobbe and ex-Essendon tall Paddy Ryder.
"They were both imposing on their own, let alone put together," Jacobs said.
"Every week there is another big challenge ... every ruckman you come up against, they are a bit different.
"They are two contrasting styles.
"Ryder is really spring-heeled and Lobbe is a good ruckman ... nothing is ever going to come easy against him."
