Adelaide coach Don Pyke hopes the Crows' 10-point, come-from-behind victory over West Coast could act as a stimulus for a late-season AFL finals charge.
The Crows looked down and out, trailing by 27 points late in the third quarter on the back of a four-game losing skid before an inspired fightback on Saturday revived their season.
"It's a big win for us," Pyke said.
"The bye came at a really good time and gave us a chance to take stock.
"Hopefully that's the stimulus for us for the rest of the season."
Captain Taylor Walker booted three massive goals either side of the three-quarter time break to seize the momentum before Hugh Greenwood kicked a goal to give resurgent Adelaide the lead.
In the fourth term, the Crows belted the Eagles in contested possessions (49-28), clearances (16-6) and inside 50s (24-4).
Sheer will sparked the turnaround.
"The game wasn't going to be won if we just sat back and tried to work our way through," Pyke said.
"We had to take the game on.
"(The players) were given complete licence to play with the attacking flair that we know we're capable of."
The only downside for Adelaide was David Mackay having his ribs crunched in a massive tackle by Luke Shuey late in the third stanza.
"It looks at this stage like the only injury of significance we have is David Mackay with those ribs," Pyke said.
"He's a bit sore.
"We'll get those looked at and scanned and let people know exactly what goes on there."
