CSR's financial chief to join Nine

The CFO at building materials group CSR, Greg Barnes, has been poached by media group Nine Entertainment.

CSR chief financial officer Greg Barnes is joining broadcaster Nine Entertainment.

Mr Barnes has worked at the building materials group since 2009, and will remain at CSR until the end of June before stepping into the CFO role at Nine on July 4.

"Greg has made a significant contribution in helping to improve the financial performance of CSR," CSR managing director Rob Sindel said in a statement.

Nine chief executive Hugh Marks said Mr Barnes offers extensive financial and public market experience that will prove invaluable in a changing media industry.
