Curious elks, dancing robots and a rare twister

Odd news from around the world including a jumpy elk, a rare twister in the Netherlands and dancing robots.

1. A curious elk became trapped after entering a netted backyard trampoline. Greg Chase of Evergreen Colorado encountered the elk in his yard while having coffee with family. After noticing the animal was stuck, Chase assisted the elk escape.    

2. A rare occurrence has been caught on camera in the Netherlands. A tornado touched down in a town south-east of Amsterdam, but luckily there are no reports of injury.

3. Hundreds of students have put there engineering skills to the test at a robot competition held in Beijing. A robot dancing ‘gangnam style’ stood out among the other dancing, fighting and soccer-playing machines.
