Stephen Curry put on a thrilling display with 33 points to lead the Golden State Warriors over the Chicago Bulls 143-94 on a night Kevin Durant and Draymond Green were absent.

NBA Finals MVP Durant was sidelined the second time in three games with a sprained left ankle, while Green was rested.

But Curry and Klay Thompson came to play Friday night with their fellow All-Stars out.

Curry found his stroke from way back and breezed past a 7-footer in the paint with authority.

The two-time MVP notched his seventh career 30-point half and 21st 20-point quarter, when he scored 26 in the second as the Warriors matched their biggest half of the season with a 74-53 lead at intermission.

Over in Boston, Kyrie Irving scored 17 of his 30 points in a blistering first half with the Celtics jumping to an early lead and coasting to a 118-103 victory over the Orlando Magic.

The Celtics scored 40 points in the first quarter and 73 by halftime to send the Magic to their seventh straight loss.

Australian Aron Baynes finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Al Horford had 10 assists.

Still wearing a mask after breaking a bone in his face on November 10, Australian-born Irving was 9 for 15 from the floor and sank all 10 of his free throw attempts.

The Atlanta Hawks used a 30-point third quarter to snap a three-game losing streak and beat the New York Knicks 116-104.

The Knicks never led after Ersan Ilyasova's 3-pointer with 4:21 left in the third quarter.

Elsewhere, Damian Lillard scored 34, Jusuf Nurkic added 29, and the Portland Trail Blazers rallied from a six-point deficit late in the fourth quarter to edge out the Brooklyn Nets 127-125.

Miami defeated Minnesota 109-97, Indiana beat Toronto 107-104, Detroit squeaked out a 99-98 win over Oklahoma City, Cleveland narrowly beat Charlotte 100-99, New Orleans were far too strong for Phoenix 115-91, and Denver were solid in the 104-92 victory over Memphis.
