Curry doubtful for NBA opener vs Pelicans

Stephen Curry remains in doubt for Golden State's second-round serious opener against New Orleans.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is questionable for Saturday's second-round series opener against the New Orleans Pelicans, coach Steve Kerr said on Thursday.

Kerr said Curry went through the entirety of Thursday's practice and had no issues with his injured left knee.

"He did everything," Kerr said. "He looked good, too."

Kerr said Curry will be monitored over the next two days to see how the knee handles the workload.

"I think what we have to do is see how his body responds the rest of the day and put him through another practice (Friday)," Kerr said.

"I think he needs to string together a few good days. But yeah, it was very positive."

Curry has missed the team's past 15 games -- including all five games of the first-round series with the San Antonio Spurs -- due to an MCL sprain.

Curry has averaged 26.4 points per game and 6.1 assists in 51 games this season.
