Curry hurt again as GSW beat Atlanta

Stephen Curry's comeback match for Golden State didn't last long as he suffered a knee injury against Atlanta.

Disaster has struck for Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, forced off the court against Atlanta with a knee complaint in his comeback game from a serious ankle injury.

Coming back from a sprained right ankle that forced him to miss the previous six games, Curry got rolled up upon by falling teammate JaVale McGee in a third-quarter collision near the Atlanta basket.

But he still managed to make an impact on the game, scoring 29 points in 25 minutes before the injury.

Golden State went on to beat the Hawks 106-94.

In obvious pain, Curry limped off did not return to the court for the fourth quarter.

Elsewhere, LaMarcus Aldridge poured in a career-high 45 points and Australian Patty Mills has scored 25 as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Utah Jazz 124-120 in overtime.

The Spurs won their sixth straight and beat the Jazz for the first time in four meetings this season.

San Antonio remain sixth in the Western Conference with the same record as fifth-place New Orleans, a half-game behind Oklahoma City for fourth. Utah remained eighth in the West.

LeBron James scored 27 points in three quarters, Kevin Love added 20 and the Cleveland Cavaliers welcomed back three players from injury during a 120-95 blowout over the sinking Phoenix Suns, who lost their 10th straight game.

Marcus Morris scored 30 points as the Boston Celtics rallied from a 12-point deficit to overhaul the Portland Trail Blazers 105-100.

The Minnesota Timberwolves beat hosts the New York Knicks 108-104, the Milwaukee Bucks' bench provided the offensive spark in a 118-105 victory over hosts Chicago Bulls, and the Denver Nuggets' play-off hopes alive by beating the Washington Wizards 108-100.

Kyle Lowry's triple-double lifted Toronto to a 116-112 win over Brooklyn, while the Indiana Pacers used a late 9-0 run to hold on for a 109-104 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder have beaten the Miami Heat 105-99.
