Cycling - Belgian rider taken to hospital after crash on Paris-Roubaix

ROUBAIX (Reuters) - Belgian rider Michael Goolaerts was taken to hospital after crashing during the Paris-Roubaix cycling classic, his team said on Sunday.

"Michael Goolaerts was involved in a crash and forced to abandon the race. He was taken to hospital. No further news at the moment," Veranda’s Willems-Crelan team said in a statement.

TV footage showed that Goolaerts, 23, was receiving CPR treatment from medics on the side of the road.
