Cyclone devastation in remote Tanna Island

Aid groups are continuing to paint a bleak picture of Vanuatu in the aftermath of Cyclone Pam.

Aid groups are continuing to paint a bleak picture in the aftermath of Cyclone Pam, with large-scale property destruction and fears about food shortages and clean water.

Emergency medical staff have reached the remote island of Tanna today to assess conditions.

SBS Reporter Stefan Ambruster is in Vanuatu and he spoke with Peggy Giakoumelos.
