NSW coach Laurie Daley says he would again place his faith in the same players who copped State of Origin's biggest ever defeat.
As the post mortems continue for the crestfallen Blues following their 52-6 shellacking on Wednesday night, Daley said on Triple M on Sunday he will likely retain faith in the core of his game three side when Origin swings around again next year.
"Twelve months is a long time, plenty of things can happen, but I've got confidence in this group," Daley said.
"I know that wasn't the team I've been coaching for the last few years. It won't happen again.
"We are shocked but if I had to run out with that same group of guys again in three weeks we could get the job done.
"Going into game three, that was a side we thought we could win with."
Daley showed faith in his players after their game one disappointment, in particular halves Trent Hodkinson and Mitchell Pearce, and they repaid that with a win at the MCG in Origin II.
But game three was a different story altogether.
"We didn't have a performance we were happy with but if I had to pick those guys again it would not worry me," Daley insisted.
"Things can happen between now and then (next year) - you can have injuries and so forth.
"But I just know that wasn't the real NSW.
"One thing you can't do after a performance like that is doubt yourself and doubt the program and journey you're on."
Adam Reynolds, Luke Keary and Blake Austin are among those in line for the Blues debuts next season, alongside this season's squad players Tariq Sims, Alex Johnston, Dylan Walker, Tyson Frizell and Sione Mata'utia.
Blake Ferguson is another sure to come into reckoning.
