Australian cricketer Dan Christian has captained Nottinghamshire to a 22-run win over Warwickshire to help the county claim the England Twenty20 title.
Christian made an unbeaten 24 from eight deliveries as Nottinghamshire posted 4/190 from their 20 overs, after Zimbabwean Brendan Taylor scored 65 (49 balls) and England's Samit Patel scored an unbeaten 64 off 42.
Christian belted the final four deliveries of the innings for four-six-six-four.
Warwickshire managed 8/168 from their 20 overs in reply at Edgbaston in Birmingham, with Christian taking 1/43 from his four overs with the ball.
The 34-year-old Australian was full of praise for Patel and Taylor's efforts with the bat.
"That partnership between Brendan Taylor and Samit really set it up for us," he said.
"Not getting off to the start we would have liked, they built a great platform for us and we were able to get up to a pretty good score.
"We've genuinely had someone stand up for us and get us to a good score, or chase down whatever we've needed to chase.
"Samit Patel and Brendan Taylor were great for us and they've been fantastic all year."
