A Denmark person has tested positive for the mosquito-transmitted Zika virus, the national broadcaster DR reports.
Health authorities from Denmark's second largest city, Aarhus, said the patient travelled to South and Central America where the Zika virus has taken hold, DR said.
The mosquito-borne virus has been linked to brain damage in thousands of babies in Brazil. There is no vaccine or treatment for Zika.
DR quoted Professor Lars Ostergaard from Aarhus University Hospital as saying the case involved a young man.
Prof Ostergaard said the patient was allowed to go home after doctors made sure that he was feeling well.
