Denmark will field its best players in their opening Nations League tie against Wales having agreed a truce in a contractual dispute, the Danish Football Association (DBU) has confirmed.
"It's good for the national team and for everyone in Danish football that we can play the important Nations League match with the right national team and focus on the sport again," DBU president Jesper Moller said in a statement.
The DBU and the players' union said in a joint statement that Sunday's match against Wales would be played according to the same contractual terms as previously, and that they would extend their agreement until September 30.
"The agreement is a step in the right direction, and the national team players are happy that they can now focus on the match against Wales on Sunday," players' union director Mads Oland said.
The dispute centres on commercial rights and off-field commitments by national players. Some players have said that the DBU's latest demands would clash with their often lucrative individual sponsorship deals.
A previous agreement expired after the World Cup finals in Russia, where Denmark reached the last 16. Talks have so far been unsuccessful, and broke down at the weekend.
DBU elite manager Kim Hallberg said he expected Denmark would be able to announce its squad late Friday.
Denmark on Wednesday fielded a substitute squad comprising amateurs that lost 3-0 away to Slovakia in an international friendly.
Hallberg and the DBU thanked the players and provisional coach John Jensen for that effort and "helping Danish football."
The DBU earlier this week said it was necessary to field a substitute team to avert the threat of fines worth millions and a possible exclusion for several years from international football by the ruling body UEFA if Denmark did not play in Slovakia.
Earlier Thursday, the Danish league association said it had postponed several matches in the Danish second division at the weekend.
The move was to ensure that substitute players who played in Slovakia could be called up in the event the DBU and players' union would fail to reach an agreement before the Wales tie.
