Dangerfield cleared by AFL MRP

Geelong's Patrick Dangerfield has been cleared of any wrongdoing over his clash with St Kilda's Jarryn Geary.

Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield remains eligible to win this year's Brownlow Medal after the AFL's match review panel reviewed his scuffle with St Kilda's Jarryn Geary.

Dangerfield caught Geary in the head with his knee as he attempted to break free of a tackle during the Cats' shock loss to the Saints at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.

But the MRP assessed the contact as accidental with the red-hot Brownlow Medal favourite still able to take out the game's highest individual prize.
