Dastyari's billboard gift for the Greens

Labor Senator Sam Dastyari wants to show his criticism of the Greens' deal with the government over multinational tax avoidance on a billboard in Sydney.

Christmas is a time of giving and if a Labor senator gets his way he'll be sending the Greens a message - on a billboard.

Sam Dastyari is attempting to crowd source enough money to pay for a board in the Sydney CBD throughout January raising awareness of the Greens "dirty deal" with the government to crack down on multinationals.

Senator Dastyari, who thinks the measures don't go far enough, told AAP: "the role of the Greens in this whole matter is despicable and they need to be held to account for their voting record".
