Veteran batsman David Hussey has been appointed as the new captain of the Melbourne Stars in the BBL, replacing Michael Clarke.
Hussey said he was both nervous and excited at taking on the captain's role as the Stars look to reach the BBL final for the first time.
All-rounder James Faulkner has signed a four-year contract extension and will remain as vice-captain.
