Wales lock Bradley Davies has been ruled out of next week's rugby Test finale against Australia.
Davies suffered a shoulder injury during a record 40-6 victory over Argentina last Saturday and the Welsh Rugby Union has confirmed he has undergone surgery.
"After medical assessments, he has undergone surgical intervention," the WRU said.
"He has been released back to Cardiff Blues alongside regional team-mate Cory Allen."
Davies becomes the sixth member of coach Warren Gatland's original 35-man autumn squad to suffer a series-ending injury.
The 26-year-old, who started this month against South Africa and Argentina, joins Allen, Jonathan Davies, Adam Jones, Eli Walker and Rhys Patchell on the sidelines.
Wales had already lost British and Irish Lions backs Jamie Roberts and Alex Cuthbert, who both suffered ankle injuries prior to the autumn fixtures.
Davies' absence from the Australia game arguably puts Luke Charteris, who starts against Tonga on Friday night, in pole position to be Alun-Wyn Jones' second-row partner against the Wallabies on Saturday week.
