The Davis Cup final between Serbia and the Czech Republic in Belgrade at the weekend will be played on a hardcourt, the Serbian Tennis Federation announced on Monday.
"The (Davis Cup) final will be played on hard surface in the Belgrade Arena hall" which has a capacity of 15,500 seats, a federation statement said.
Serbia will be led by world No.2 Novak Djokovic, who later on Monday faces Rafael Nadal in the ATP World Tour Finals in London. The 26-year-old Djokovic was expected in Belgrade on Tuesday.
The home team named by captain Bogdan Obradovic also includes world No.36 Janko Tipsarevic, Nenad Zimonjic (world No.13 in doubles), Ilija Bozoljac (237), Dusan Lajovic (117), Boris Pasanski (481) and Filip Krajinovic (223). The team started training in Belgrade on Sunday.
However, the Czech Republic will defend their Davis Cup title without captain Jaroslav Navratil who has been hospitalised with a pulmonary embolism.
The 58-year-old Navratil has been in charge since 2006 but will miss the November 15-17 final as he fights the illness.
The Czech team will be made up of world No.6 Tomas Berdych, Lukas Rosol (43), Radek Stepanek (45) and Jan Hajek (105).
They will be playing in a third final in five years after defeating Argentina 3-2 in the semi-finals while Serbia saw off Canada by the same score in Belgrade.
