Davis, Yeo and Goodes cop AFL bans

GWS co-captain Phil Davis, Bulldogs utility Brett Goodes and West Coast's Elliot Yeo have accepted one-match AFL suspensions.

Greater Western Sydney co-captain Phil Davis and much-improved West Coast baller Elliot Yeo have both accepted one-match AFL bans.

Davis will miss Saturday's clash against the Western Bulldogs after pleading guilty to engaging in rough conduct against Adelaide's Luke Brown.

Yeo will miss Sunday's home clash against Geelong after submitting an early guilty plea to a charge of striking St Kilda's Jimmy Webster.

Yeo risked being hit with a two-match ban if he took his case to the tribunal and was unsuccessful.

Western Bulldogs utility Brett Goodes was also hit with a one-match suspension for engaging in rough conduct against Melbourne's Matt Jones.

But Goodes faced a lengthy stint on the sidelines anyway after breaking his arm in the loss to the Demons.

All of the other players charged from round eight also made early guilty pleas and were fined, meaning the tribunal was not required to sit on Tuesday night.
