Day to switch caddies for the Masters

Jason Day will substitute caddie Luke Reardon for Rika Batibasaga as his caddie for the Masters.

Jason Day will revert to caddie Rika Batibasaga for the Masters at Augusta National in two weeks.

Day has had close friend Luke Reardon on the bag for his past two events, at this week's World Golf Championships-Match Play and the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.

But the world No.11 will sub in professional golfer and good mate Batibasaga, who was on the bag for Day's drought-breaking US PGA Tour victory at Torrey Pines in January.

Batibasaga also carried the clubs in Day's next start when he finished tied runner-up at the Pebble Beach Pro Am.

"I'm going to take Rika. It's going to be new for him," Day told AAP.

Day was bundled out of the group stages at the WGC-Match Play in Texas on Friday and says he'll head to Augusta National early to familiarise first-time Masters caddie Batibasaga.

The 2015 US PGA Championship winner Day will also bring long-time swing coach Colin Swatton to Augusta early to sharpen his game.

"Just to refresh everything a little bit. I like working on things before an event to make sure, when I get to the tournament, I don't have to think about it," Day said.

"Col will stay on the teaching side and I will tell Rika what I like on the golf course and we'll go from there."

Day parted ways with Swatton as a caddie in September last year but kept his mentor on as coach.

Reardon carried the clubs for Day during the FedEx Cup play-offs as well as the US Tour's Asia swing and the Australian Open in Sydney at the end of 2017.

However, visa issues forced Day to use Batibasaga for his first two US Tour starts in 2018.
