Jason Day is so confident he is on track for multiple major championship wins, he's adamant he wouldn't swap one major for the career he's forged thus far.
The world No.5, who has nine top-10 finishes in majors from 20 starts, returns to Whistling Straits this week for the PGA Championship, the scene of his debut major where he was tied 10th.
And while he's been knocking on the door ever since and is desperate to win one of the big four tournaments, when asked if he would trade the last five years for one major and no other top 10s he surprisingly said no.
"I would take what I have right now. I know that as long as I keep doing the things I'm doing it is going to happen," Day said.
"I think it is good to be consistent, because every once in a while you can strike lightning in a bottle but I don't want to be a one hit wonder and kind of just go off in the distance.
"I want to be a dominant player and I want to be able to, in big tournaments like this, be able to close and win, not only one major but consecutive majors, two, three, four I just want to win as many as I can."
Day stressed patience and experience has been a key factor in his growth on the golf course.
While he admits he really wants the wins to come he knows he must remain patient and let the hard work pay off.
The 27-year-old feels he turned a corner at St Andrews last month where he missed the playoff by one shot but was able to turnaround and win in Canada a week later with a birdie-birdie-birdie finish.
"Unfortunately sometimes people make it look easier than others," Day said.
"Some people get there quicker than others. For me it has been building hopefully to something big in the future where I can actually feel a lot more comfortable and can just go out and attack it a lot easier.
"The Open Championship was a turning point for me. I felt different - more calm and everything was kind of slow paced.
"While we didn't win I played phenomenal golf that week and then was able to take that to Canada and win there so my confidence is high this week."
