Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans has hit out at media speculation he will not honour his move to Gold Coast on a four-year deal.
Rumours have been rife the Queensland and Australia representative was having second thoughts about joining the Titans from next NRL season and was planning to back out of the multimillion-dollar offer.
Under NRL rules, players have until round 13 before contracts are finalised.
Cherry-Evans was reportedly unsettled by uncertainty over the future of State of Origin teammate Nate Myles at the Titans, with the pair sharing the same management team.
But when asked by a television reporter in Sydney on Saturday if he was 100 per cent committed to joining the Titans, Cherry-Evans simply replied "Yes".
The 26-year-old also said no when asked if he was having second thoughts about the deal.
"I just seem extremely uncomfortable the way the media's put me in the spotlight," Cherry-Evans told Network Ten.
"As I said, there's nothing to report so I just feel extremely uncomfortable with the spotlight I'm in at the moment.
"I've got no changes to report. That means nothing's changed."
The Titans and Cherry-Evans' management have already flatly denied media reports the playmaker is considering a backflip.
Titans chief executive Graham Annesley said in a statement that Chris and Gavin Orr of Pacific Sports Management had assured him there was no basis to the reports.
On Friday, Titans coach Neil Henry labelled the issue "media-fuelled" speculation.
