Another deadline has passed with no sign of progress in the critical race for Australia to find somewhere to store its nuclear waste.

Another deadline has passed with no sign of progress in the critical race for Australia to find somewhere to store its nuclear waste.

Now, landowners across the country are to be asked to offer their land for a storage facility.

Naomi Selvaratnam took a trip to the main source of Australia's nuclear waste, and filed this report.
