The United Nations Security Council is preparing to vote on a resolution condemning the 1995 Srebrenica massacre.

Debate over Srebrenica resolution

Around eight thousand Bosnian Muslim men and boys were killed by Serb army units under General Ratko Mladic.

 

The resolution was drafted by Britain to mark the 20th anniversary of the massacre later this month.

 

However there is pressure to stop the vote going ahead.
