Defence reveals it has lots of computers

Under freedom of information, defence has revealed its full inventory of work stations, servers and mainframes, and it's a lot

Defence sure has a lot of computers, with the list running to more than 2700 pages.

We know this because someone applied under freedom of information legislation for the full inventory of Defence's information technology hardware.

Defence mostly obliged and its website lists 2658 pages for all work stations, 115 pages of servers, and four pages of mainframes, although certain information was redacted on the grounds of national security .
