Matthew Dellavedova started for the Cleveland Cavaliers in his third match back from a sprained left knee, unfortunately his performance in place of LeBron James wasn't enough for a win.
The versatile Australian played as a forward in their 103-94 loss at Oklahoma City and scored 14 points along the way in a sign he is returning to form following significant time on the sideline.
Cleveland were without James, who pulled out of the game with a knee injury of his own.
Dellavedova chipped in on a night when a team effort was required, but 20 points from Kyrie Irving and 18 from Kevin Love were not enough for the Cavs, whose win streak ended at eight matches as Russell Westbrook exploded for the Thunder with 26 points and eight assists.
OKC, who endured a torrid start to the season without Westbrook and fellow All Star Kevin Durant have now won four straight and are slowly climbing up the ladder in the Western Conference.
Cleveland were missing LeBron James, who had pulled out of the game with his own knee injury.
In Sacramento the Houston Rockets scored a come-from-behind overtime win over the sliding Sacramento Kings as James Harden lit up the scoreboard.
Houston's bearded star played almost 50 minutes, scored 44 points and gave eight assists in the win.
Harden, the NBA's leading scorer, tied the game with a 3-pointer and then opened the extra period with seven unanswered points. The win was the fifth in six games for the Rockets.
