Melbourne utility Jack Watts faces an uncertain future after the former No.1 draft pick was dropped for Sunday's clash against Greater Western Sydney.
The 24-year-old has been a lightning rod for criticism for much of his career, with Melbourne's decision to drop him sure to reignite speculation that they might listen to offers during the coming trade period.
Watts was one of four changes made with Matt Jones also dropped, while Jake Spencer (concussion) and Neville Jetta (calf) are out injured.
Forgotten ruckman Mark Jamar was unable to force his way into the 22, with the 32-year-old likely to have played his last game for the Demons after being overlooked for most of the season.
Mitch White will make his AFL debut for Melbourne, while James Harmes, Angus Brayshaw and Jay Kennedy-Harris were also included.
The Giants will also feature a first-gamer in Jake Barrett, with Jacob Townsend also coming into the side.
Collingwood take on Essendon in the final game of the home-and-away season and the Pies will be without Dane Swan (knee) but regain Alan Toovey.
The Bombers made four changes but veteran defender Dustin Fletcher wasn't one of those inclusions after he failed to throw off a groin injury to play a farewell game before retiring.
Kyle Langford, Elliott Kavanagh, Shaun Edwards and Tayte Pears were all added to the line-up.
