Onballer Dom Tyson is finally back in favour at Melbourne, recalled for the Friday night AFL blockbuster against Port Adelaide.

The Demons also brought in key forward Tim Smith and dropped Cam Pedersen and Charlie Spargo for the Adelaide Oval clash.

Tyson, dropped after round eight, has managed only six AFL games this season, fuelling speculation about his future at the Demons.

"On a Friday night at Adelaide Oval, it's probably going to be a bit dewy, so we've gone with some big bodies," coach Simon Goodwin told the club website.

The Power will regain in-form defender Tom Jonas from a hamstring injury and Jack Hombsch makes way for him.

The injury-plagued Western Bulldogs made four changes for Saturday night's match against North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium - three of them forced.

Ironman defender Dale Morris was named to return after making a speedy recovery from minor knee surgery.

They will also add Aaron Naughton and Marcus Adams, who is yet to play this season in the AFL, to their backline.

Josh Dunkley is the other inclusion, while captain Easton Wood (hamstring), Jack Macrae (hamstring) and Lukas Webb are sidelined and Shane Biggs has been dropped.

There were also queries over the fitness of Marcus Bontempelli, Tom Boyd and Toby McLean, but all three were named.

North Melbourne, who could not consider Jarrad Waite because of a calf injury setback, dropped Billy Hartung and Cameron Zurhaar for Jed Anderson and Nathan Hrovat.

Star onballer Stephen Coniglio (concussion) headlines three GWS inclusions for Saturday's must-win Gabba match against Brisbane.

They named Dawson Simpson and Jeremy Finlayson, with Rory Lobb (back) and Daniel Lloyd (knee) out of action and Harry Perryman dropped.

Daniel McStay (foot) and Ben Keays are out for the Lions, who bring in Josh Walker and Rhys Mathieson.

Gold Coast academy graduate Jacob Dawson will make his AFL debut in Saturday's Launceston match against Hawthorn.

The Suns have also recalled tall forward Peter Wright, while Jack Bowes (quad) and Rory Thompson (hamstring) are out.

Hawthorn defender James Frawley is back after being a late withdrawal with a migraine from last weekend's win over Adelaide and comes in for Kaiden Brand.

Collingwood midfielder Daniel Wells (foot) and Carlton onballer Sam Kerridge (groin) are the only confirmed omissions so far for Sunday's match at the MCG, with the final 22s to be named on Friday afternoon.
