Melbourne veteran Jordan Lewis has been fined after AFL match review officer Michael Christian's scrutiny of the Queen's Birthday clash with Collingwood.

Lewis can accept a $2000 sanction for misconduct against Steele Sidebottom in the second quarter of the Magpies' 42-point win at the MCG.

Earlier, the AFL announced the tribunal would not be required on Tuesday night after all players accepted charges laid from other round-12 matches.

Fremantle star Michael Walters was the only player banned, taking a one-game suspension for striking Adelaide's Jake Kelly.

He will miss Saturday's clash with Carlton at Etihad Stadium.

Walters was also reported for headbutting Tom Doedee in the same last-quarter skirmish in the upset win over the Crows.

But Christian deemed there was minimal contact and dismissed the charge.

Brisbane veteran Luke Hodge was cleared of any wrongdoing in a bump that ruled Essendon skipper Dyson Heppell out of the second half of their clash at the Gabba.

Heppell was left dazed and bloodied in the heavy collision, but Christian ruled Hodge was contesting the ball and had no realistic alternative.
