Former Socceroos defender Dino Djulbic says he's happy to be home after signing a two-year A-League deal with Perth Glory.

The 31-year old central defender has played in China, Germany and on the Gold Coast since leaving the Glory in 2009, with his most recent gig at Al-Wahda in the United Arab Emirates Pro-League.

In 2012 Djulbic made the Chinese Super League team of the year while playing for Guizhou Renhe FC.

He also represented the Socceroos in 2013 for their EAFF East Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Djulbic has been training with Glory for the past few months, and was keen to secure a deal with his home club.

"It's been over five years since I last played for Glory and I am looking forward to once again playing in the A-League," Djulbic said.

"Next season is very important to me and all involved in the Club. We have to compete and we have to get back to our winning ways. It's great to be home."

His signing comes just two days after Kenny Lowe was appointed coach on a two-year deal.

The futures of star striker Shane Smeltz, former French international William Gallas and midfielder Steve McGarry remain up in the air.
