Lawyers for 26-year-old Ibrahim Jalloh say he was tricked into smuggling more than two kilograms of ice out of Guangzhou by an international syndicate taking advantage of his disability.
But Chinese prosecutors have presented a medical appraisal showing the Brisbane man was only slightly developmentally delayed, and therefore capable of bearing criminal liability.
That means Jalloh could be executed if found guilty during a hearing on Friday.
