Dishevelled man wanted over Vic assault

Police have released security footage images of a dishevelled man wanted in connection to the indecent assault of a woman at a Victorian train station.

Images have been released of a dishevelled man wanted over the indecent assault of a woman in country Victoria.

The woman, 57, was waiting for a bus outside the Traralgon train station about 5pm on October 13 when a man verbally abused and indecently assaulted her.

She slapped him across the face and ran away, alerting station staff who phoned police, but the man fled.

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to as part of their investigation.

He is Caucasian in appearance, aged between 30 and 40, unshaven, with a dirty, dishevelled appearance.

He was wearing a baseball-style black and grey bomber jacket with a cream-coloured jumper underneath, dark pants or jeans, a blue cap and blue runners.
