Doc Neeson will be farewelled by friends and family at a private funeral.
The Angels' frontman died at his home in Sydney last week after battling a brain tumour for 17 months.
His friend and publicist Catherine Swinton said family members will hold a private funeral on Wednesday.
A public memorial will be held at a later date.
The lead singer with 1970s Australian rock band was known for his defining stage presence.
The band had their first break out hit, Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, in 1976 and followed this with an enduring career spanning nearly four decades.
Neeson revealed his health problems in the ABC show Australian Story focusing on the rock star's life which aired in April this year.
Neeson is survived by his partner Annie Souter and four children.
