Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge is preparing to be without Dale Morris and Mitch Wallis for an extended period after the pair sustained significant injuries in Sunday's loss to Hawthorn.
Morris was subbed out of the game at quarter-time after injuring a pectoral muscle, while Wallis copped a heavy knock to his back in the first term and was unable to continue.
"Wallis has something going on with his back, he got a knee (there)," Beveridge said.
"It's disappointing. They'll be out for a little while, I don't know how long but they're not minor injuries."
Trainers worked on Wallis throughout the second quarter, but he emerged after halftime with a tracksuit on and took no further part.
He was clearly in significant pain as he attempted to run on the sidelines, with FoxFooty cameras later capturing vision of him unable to even bend over to pick up his track pants from his locker.
The pair will undergo scans to determine the severity of their injuries.
Matthew Boyd and Marcus Bontempelli were both withdrawn from the team named on Thursday night with calf injuries, but Beveridge said both should be available for next week's match against Adelaide.
