An animal rescue charity in New Zealand has been teaching rescued dogs how to drive.
“Each behaviour is a trained behaviour,” says dog trainer Mark Vette.
“And then we put it into a sequence. So it's a lot to do. And for the dog to start to get an idea of what actually is happening takes quite a long time.”
Trainers from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals have been teaching three dogs, Monty, Ginny and Porter, how to drive to demonstrate how intelligent the dogs are and to encourage people to adopt abandoned pets.
BBC's Daniel Boettcher reports.
