Dogs seized after bailing up teenager

Two dogs have been seized by police after they allegedly attacked a Sydney boy, biting his arms and legs.

A teenager in Sydney's west has had to climb a road sign to get away from two dogs that he said bit him on the arms and legs.

Police in Ambarvale found the 15-year-old clinging to the road sign on Copperfield Drive on Thursday, before the owner of the dogs called them away.

The teenager was treated for lacerations to his legs and arms and then taken to Campbelltown Hospital.

The animals were taken to a local pound and their owner issued with a dangerous dog declaration.

Police inquiries are continuing.
