Donald Trump's #AskTrump Q&A spectacularly backfires

US Presidential hopeful Donald Trump's online Q&A session went about as well as could be expected.

Mr Trump visited the New York headquarters of social networking giant Twitter to conduct a live Q&A session, using the hashtag #AskTrump, with questions from the general public.

The result may not have been what he was hoping for. But then again, the controversial candidate is no stranger to an off-key publicity stunt.

His answer to the question; "What will you do on your first day as president?" involved closing America's borders.
It wasn't long before Twitter users were using the hashtag to poke fun at the controversial candidate.
