A Sunshine Coast charity has received a little more generosity than expected after finding a hidden booty of nearly $7000 cash in the pockets of donated women's clothes.

The money-stuffed clothes were left in a Buderim charity bin sometime between last Monday and Friday, police say.

Police are attempting to track down the rightful owner to determine whether the extra donation was made accidentally or as an act of benevolence.
